Lexi Room6 2016. End of year - higlights. Last week we made yachts out of recycled items. Our yacht was called LA 33. Our yacht had 2 plastic bottles for the base ,skewers in the middle to stick the bottles together, plastic spoons as rudders, Popsicle sticks as center boards and a plastic bag as the sail. Yellow hat our yacht didnt capsize and would turn around when the wind changed direction so it could keep going. Black hat We think that the rudders created drag on the boat. Monday, December 5, 2016. On Friday room 6 made boats. I was with Samantha and we made this boat. We made the boat out of milk bottles. Then we stuck corks between the milk bottles. After that we went surfing I stood up about 15 times on the board. I learnt how to get up on a board. My favorite part was standing up on the board the first 2 times I nose dived. Friday, December 9, 2016. Last Thursday, My class went to Waimarama for surfing lessons.
