Dear Future Larnie,. Thursday, August 13, 2015. Portland Mountains and Hiking. For this trip, we left very little time for hiking probably because we can hike the Smoky Mountains whenever we want. But we did carve out a half day to tackle two nearby sights Multnomah Falls and Mt St Helens an active volcano. The falls are really magnificent and so hard to capture in photos. Although I guess its nice that photos can be conveniently positioned to make you forget the crowds. Mt St Helens has a fascina.
