Saturday, August 24, 2013. Colorado, Part II. We usually dont leave Fox Run, but this trip we decided to explore. The Colorado Springs Zoo is amazing! This beautiful zoo is built right into a mountain The only mountain zoo in the US! And all of the animal enclosures wind up the hilltop. There is an amazing giraffe enclosure with a dozen giraffe, all looking for visitors to feed them lettuce. Lela and Grandpa Rick, hanging out at the zoo.
