Friday, March 30, 2012. When I execute the SQL Statement in the SQL Query Analyzer, I get the result. Returned in 4 seconds but when I use the same query from a stored procedure. And execute it from SQL Analyzer, it is taking too long about 50-55 seconds. Am I missing something? I have a join between external and internal table. Same security creditials as well? The same SQ.

I am using a linked server to run a qeury to mysql with sp addlinked server etc. The problem i am having is I am using this in a trigger with sql server 2000 and it always errors there for the row doesnt get inserted. With mysql I cant use 4 part names cause I get this error. So I have to run. So my question is,.

Friday, March 30, 2012. I am going to replace our aging 7.0 server and install 2005 Standard. I want to use the new Reporting Services, and I have a question about the licensing. I will have Reporting Services installed on the SQL Server. Its just the one machine with one processor. Reporting Services will be pulling data from the same machine it is installed to. The reports are entirely for internal use i.e. not a public web. I have 5 CALs for the 2005 at this time. Thanks in advance for any help.CONTENT
