Saturday, July 4, 2009. Sorry for the long space between updates! After Hiroshima, we visited a nearby island, Miyajima, which is famous for its floating shrine and torii. Because it is built on water, when the tide moves it, it looks like its floating on water. We took a rope away to the highest point in the island. I spent the day with two of my favorite people here, Hiromi and Christie. It was a gorgeous site! I also bought a yukata! Girls in Japan wear yukata to go to festivals like 祭り花火. I forg.
