He was first scared of a cartoon version of the Joker on Batman. the image of that scary face stayed with him when he was alone at night. Is a comfort to him. Just being in eyeshot is not enough - he wants to feel the presence.

Don and Cora Foster Leach Family History. Monday, May 28, 2012. This is Jack Leach when he was one. Taken in 1921 on the homestead in Northern Minnesota. My dad, Jack Leach, has been gone since January 3, 1997, and still miss him vividly. When I just need to talk to him, I call my Uncle John. Actually I just talked to him this morning. He is 90, doing well and has a memory like a teenager - no, even better than that. Emma Jane Paxson and Jack Donald Leach.
