The final residency before thesis semester was filled with information on how to move forward to write the thesis, develop an artist talk and what is expected for exhibition work. It helped me to think of my work and my artist statement differently than I had been. Having classmates rewrite our artist statements was very beneficial.

This is a journal of my thoughts, research, and new work, as I work toward completion of my MFA at the Art Institute of Boston. Monday, August 30, 2010. I place my work in clusters, groups, or collective strands. At times I orient my sculptures to reflect the communication between organisms in a community. I work with moss, clay, plastic, water, glass and wax. I select specific materials to create vulnerable events. I think of cellular intricacies and differentiation.
