I have mapped out my entire experience in Slovenia over the past couple years, every city or area that I have been to was cut out, drawn and installed onto the gallery walls in a panorama type of map. 2013, cardboard, pins, wire.

My work is influenced by exploring new environments, culture and identity. Each gesture performed by the viewer creates an expectation or illusion as to what is being created. The porcelain slip will create a constantly changing environment, one that dries and cracks, only to be covered over again and again.

Friday, January 31, 2014. I spend a lot of time observing the everyday life and my reactions to it; people, conversations, signs, unintentional mishaps, etc. These everyday observations are converted into a standard type of window sign that you would find at your local retail store.

The buildings we see today, housing art galleries, theaters, restaurants, shops, etc, were home to adult novelty stores, strip clubs, xxx theaters, gay bars and burlesque houses. Fifty years before that, the red-light district was the original culture center of Pittsburgh, home to retail stores, art cinemas and shops.
