I came across his work in a book called Data Flow and thought it was really quirky and inspirational and wanted to check out more of his work, not just that featured in the book. A cipher is transmuted to an alphabet. The outline of a font is traced using wool. The lengths of wool are then displayed as a new alphabet, creating a typographic, machine readable code based on distances and proportions. so simple, yet so complicated.

Monday, 17 January 2011. As you can see, I havent updated my blog in nearly a year. I keep meaning to start again, but never quite manage it. I might try again soon. In the mean time I am leaving the blog up. Thursday, May 31, 2007. The Riviera Maya gets its grades. Isla Mujeres, 3 stars. Playa de Carmen, 1 star. I loved this place, it is my kind of destination. A big white empty semi-nude caribean beach, what else do you want. Really low tourist traffic? It has it. Very afforadable? Off the Riviera Maya. The ruins of Ek-Balam 20km north of Valladolid, a lot more compact than most.
