Saturday, November 14, 2009. Can you get a black belt via video? My personal answer yes and no. Yes if you do the tapes with a real Kung Fu or Karate Sensei. I have been training since 1984 in various styles. My present rank is black sash 4th degree in Praying Mantis. I can learn other styles via video yet cannot certify someone outside of my style. I hope this helps anyone.
