Its a cold and rainy day, which to me is a perfect time to sit down with a cup of coffee and a new knitting project;. This is the beginnings of Shibuya. It was also a great day to bake chocolate chip cookies. Now its time to start working on my backlog of sewing projects that are in various stages of completion. I hope to be back later this week with some of those new garments, as well as a newly finished knitting project.
Ms stocking is all done. As requested, it is enormous. Pack of cards included for scale. I used duplicate stitch for her name. To prevent the Christmas loot from stretching it out of shape, I used some red jersey fabric to make a lining and then I hand-sewed around the top to hold it in place. Now L wants her stocking lined as well, which wont be too hard.

Life seems to snowball in the strangest ways. I left off after leaving my son at school, cried the whole way home, and tonight I prepare for the long drive to go pick him up. How was I to know that this was going to be such a tough season? Two weeks after leaving my Toad at school, I received a call from the hospital.
