Friday, August 17, 2012. How Do I Love Thee! The smell makes my mouth water. What is it that makes bacon so good? For this cupcake, I cooked about 6 slices and made them crispy. Once cooled, I chopped them up. I used a vanilla cake base, but it had real maple syrup in the batter. Oh My Goodness! I could have eaten the cupcakes all by themselves. The maple made the cake so moist and taste quite rich. Yum! They also smelled divinely. I used a piece of bacon and crumbled it on top of the cupcakes.
Monday, October 28, 2013. Welcoming a Little Pink into our life. mentally I was fully expecting to have a fifth boy in this line up. This kid is a mess. This is right at 39 weeks. Proud daddy of a BABY GIRL! Pat thought it was a girl at the end of my pregnancy, I was shocked. Pat is a little alarmed with all the pink and bows and the size of them. Ohh the pink, so fun! The Last 24 Hours I. 1 Spent two hours doing a Saturday morning cleaning of my room, including removing the rickety stool in my closet that caused a frightening fall a couple of Sunday mornings ago. Im just not quite ready for that hip surgery, unless I break both hips simultaneously and the docs can move them in a couple inches on each side. 2 Made a pot of hazelnut coffee for myself, then only drank one cup. 3 Vacuumed the stairs.
