Mazda and GM Recall over Half a Million Crossover Vehicles. Two major auto manufacturers issued mass recalls this week. A second, more serious but less-numerous recall affects 190,000 Mazda CX-7 crossover vehicles. CX-7 model years 2007-2012 have ball joints in their front suspension that can rust and corrode, causing catastrophic failure of joint arms. A similar problem caused a recall of CX-9 vehicles last year.
