Monday, December 7, 2009. The final project of the year THE BOAT PROJECT. We had to construct a boat from one 4x8 piece of plywood, a pound of fasteners, 60 yards of duct tape, the equivalent of two 2x4s, and paint. We decided to create a boat based on Tim Burtons interpretation of the Batmobile. At first, my maquette was not functional at all. It looked okay, but the bottom was so narrow and the walls were so steep that it would not balance. It ended up looking like this. The oar was made to match.
