Saturday, August 11, 2012. Updated Monday, 815. Im now b ack home after a week of wonderful weather and camaraderie with three friends. After kayaking 85 miles on and visiting 5 islands in in Lake Michigan our trip was cut short by incessant winds. We spent Thursday on Beaver Island and took the Ferry to Charlevoix yesterday. Our trip ended up going like this. 84 - Glen Haven Beach to NE North Manitou Island 23.7 miles. 85 - Weather day, bad winds. 3.5 miles. 810 - Ferry to Charlevoix. On Satu.
