Tuesday, March 24, 2015. As a follow-up to the House Hunting entry of a few days ago, we found a wonderful place. For many reasons, it is perfect, although definitely not. Log home is smaller than our current home, but not by too much. It is still four bedrooms with 2. 5 baths, a living room and a large kitchen. It has a front porch and a rear deck, as well as a full basement that is semi-finished, including plumbing for a kitchen. Saturday, February 28, 2015.

Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Just Like My Momma Make It. My mom and I decided that we wanted to learn how to make our own bread, from scratch, without a bread maker. Mom found an easy recipe and even ground the wheat. just like the old days. It was a very long process, kneading the dough and waiting for it to raise. I cannot imagine how the pioneers did it every single day. It took us a couple of tries, and some trial and error. but we finally perfected the process! Let me know if you want the recipe! .
Friday, November 8, 2013. We got it all done in a day. Did one meal recipe at a time to start out with and got smoother and quicker as we went. These meals will feed our family of five. Two adults and three kids ages 6, 4 and 2.
