Tuesday, December 9, 2008. What The Banner Has Taught Me. Since I became involved with the photography staff on the Banner, I have become more aware of how important a photograph is to a newspaper story and what it contributes to it. I have learned how better to tell a story with a single or few photos and how it is vital that the reader understand what the article is talking about solely by looking at the photo.
