These are the teachers of the accelerate academy. Students move around for maths, depending on your math level. These are the teachers that take us on trips organise our class day and for the few lucky students these teachers are going to look after us when we to go to New Caledonia at the end of the year. Room 5 Rock n Roll! The Kaitao School Swimming Competition for 2009. It was a hot Friday in week 6 when it all began. The events were aqua jogging,breast stroke,running with a ball on your head and others. First up was all of the house chants.
Sadly at the end of term 2 whaea Amanda left room 8 . But she is coming to visit us time to time to see what we are doing and working on. She is still here at kaitao helping out the schools netball team. This week we have been in the library because our classroom as been cold. We have been doing lots of work. Now we are warm in the library and doing work and having fun at the same time.
In week 6 Expressive Academy went to Tunohopu Marae. First a Kuia welcomed us on to the Marae. We then started walking very slowly towards the marae. When we got onto the Marae we all got asked to be seated on the floor. A koro made a speech in Maori to all of us in Expressive Academy.

An example of when i persisted in something was in gymnastics i was about to quit before our grading but in the end i decided to stick with it and got the top mark out of my whole gym class i also got lots of badges and medals i was so proud of my self. Mufti Day 30th July. Today was mufti day and teachers were asked to dress up as pirates! Also the students could too if they wish but we have taken a few pictures of only some. This term I learned how and what the brain does to help your body to do many things like playing and learning and also moving and talking.
