The World Needs More Queer Mamas. The adventures of me, my partner, and our growing family. Sunday, August 14, 2011. She will be 4 years old in less than a month. She has been dressing herself for quite some time. Right down to the choice of outfit. Or days like today where things are on backwards - top and bottom! She insists that this was her plan.
The ups and downs on our path toward our own little nugget! The excitement in planning. I have to admit- I am a planner. We have a Disney cruise planned for this August and I am in full plan mode. This will be our first cruise and I have been reading everything I can! Walt Disney World is our go to vacation. We go every year and I can plan for it in my sleep! A different kind of Valentine.
Last Friday marked 40 weeks of this pregnancy, a day I was surprised to see, even this far in. I chronicled Week 40 with some belly shots. J and I spent the next few days walking and belly dancing and cooking and waiting, waiting, waiting feeling less and less patient. But for now, I wanted to share with you our daughter.
Two Moms Are Better Than One. After much debate and soul searching we come to peace in our decision to be done having children. I am embarking on new adventures, which I will no doubt write abou.

I am most surprised by the overwhelming love that comes with being a parent. I am overwhelmed with the joy that Mavis brings us. She is such a bright happy child that her mere presence is uplifting.
