Thursday, April 17, 2008. After doing the journal, i have start doing the mechanical toy and i had used so tools to have it done. Firstly, i have the to drilling a tight-fitting hold using the drilling machine on the round cam that i am using. Next, i have to measure the length of the stick and where to hammer the cam in. Here is the picture of the cam hammered into the stick. Next i have to prepare the follow, handle and the stopped. for the all of them, i have to drill at least 1 hold in it.

This type of motion is called oscillating motion. The the birds legs are joined together by a wire which acts as a fixed pivot round which the body moves. The input motion from the crank is transmitted to the birds through a linkage.
