At the end of March 2006 John Churchill was discharged from the Abraham Cowley Psychiatric Unit in Chertsey Surrey. Within 48 hours he had killed John McKenna. Two days later he went to the police and and confessed. He has been in custody since then, currently under Section 48 of the 1983 Mental Health Act and in a Cambridge Hospital.
