Little bits about life in our real world. I drove my son and his friend to the park on Monday. It was a rare sunny day in this spring of never-ending stormy showers and we were happy to get out of the house. During the drive I listened to their simple, disjointed conversation in the backseat. One day we had a baby. It is great news, now that she can parent.
Hello again, love bugs! A couple of people have contacted me recently wondering where I went! Oops Sorry about that! For those of you who missed my one quick earlier announcement, I moved my site to a new URL! You can now find me at hallielord.
Making room for more in our hearts and our home. So many posts are composed in my head but fail to make it to the keyboard. So much on my heart but too few words to really do any of it justice. Then the day finally arrived in July when that long flight.
To everything there is a season. We are two young Catholic women, writing about marriage, motherhood, fertility issues, career, current events, and, of course, faith. Friday, May 30, 2014. Aunt Flo, is that you? Back to the TMI, bodily-functions-themed posts. I wish Husband and I were any good at praying together. I feel like that would help. Thursday, April 10, 2014.
Friday, September 20, 2013. Saw a teeny tiny baby. Heard a small whoosh, whoosh of the heartbeat. Saw the little heart flicker on the screen. I sent pictures and video to Dh just as soon as I possibly could. Told the rest of our family and the rest of the world. We are completely overwhelmed with joy and gratitude! It is slowly starting to move from dream to reality. Thursday, September 19, 2013.
My journey with infertility, pregnancy and now motherhood with a Catholic flair. Last year, my brother and sister in law gave D this book for his birthday. We have been reading it for the last couple weeks and the boys seem to enjoy it.
Love, Camo, and Other Stuff. Monday, July 20, 2015. You are not a Superhero. You do the job the best you can. You lovingly and sacrificially care for your patients. You carry the weight of their hardship on your shoulders with a full bladder and an empty stomach. You listen to the wailing of family members when you have to bear bad news. You hug them and console them while wondering if there was anymore you could have done. Sunday, March 29, 2015.
Sunday, August 9, 2015. CD1 - - Nuff said.
Sunday, January 30, 2011. Thursday, March 12, 2009. Saturday, January 17, 2009. A week later we were spending some time talking over the last week and talked about the fact that we felt like we had been home for at least a month rather than a week. Since we have been home, we have been busy trying to establish ourselves as one family. We are eagerly looking forward to the spring when we can settle into the house Greg had which will be once the addition is done. Sunday, October 12, 2008.
Faith, Family, Food and Infertility. It has been a busy week and I want to get something posted before the week is gone. We were at the March for Life in DC yesterday. It was a very long, amazing and exhausting day. I am sore from all the walking we did. Though, because the crowds were to so tightly packed together, it was more like trudging than walking. Here is a recipe I adapted recently.
