A travel log of sea kayaking exploits. Around South Wales and beyond. Saturday, 12 May 2012. This rapid passage was all to change within the hour! Approaching Aberthaw the wind that hit us kept coming on and on, straight on the nose. We were getting quite chilly with the spray and wind - so when when we met up with Stuart. And Marcus at Gileston, the cags came out and put paid to the sun cream.
Saturday, 28 January 2017. This was on New Years Day at Badaguish but the snow only lasted a few hours. Two weekends ago we had a bit of a dump, most of the snow was blown off the summits and landed down in the valley. I had a good day XC skiing in Glenmore forest with friends, the next day it poured with rain and washed all the snow away but it was good while it lasted. Wednesday, 21 September 2016.
Next morning the sky was leaden and the wind had not abated. We spent the morning gathering firewood in preparation for another night in the bothy. The bothy again provided us with a comfortable night away from wind and rain. Next day, the wind had dropped and we set off for further adventures.
