Monday, September 14, 2015. Boy Scout - American Legion Flag Ceremony. Silas and his Boy Scout group were asked to participate in the Flag Retirment Ceremony at the Jesup American Legion last week. We had never been to such a ceremony, so it was very interesting to hear and see how the process was handled. The boys were very respectful of the flags being retired and it was a little emotional a few times. He got a little too close and singed his hair - and eyelashes! One las.
