Tuesday, April 8, 2008. I enjoyed the book and movie very much. As far as a film adaptation goes I believe this is pretty good. Tuesday, April 8, 2008. Kenneth Branagh vs Mary Shelley. The timeline was shortened by Branagh, but this was necessary to fit the story in a proper frame of time. Even though he altered some scenes, the message that Shelley was trying to point across to us was not altered. Thursday, March 20, 2008.

Tuesday, April 8, 2008. Branagh definitly takes a lot of liberties with the storyline on many levels. It is understandable that it is completely impossible to condense a book into a two maybe three hours, but I do believe the highlights of the book being portrayed should be included and not twisted into a new version.
