This postcard shows Markfield Parish Church and the adjacent cottages on The Green, which has been the centre of the village for many years. Although the card is undated and not postally used, it seems to be from the early years of the 20th Century, judging by the dress of the group of the children sitting in front of the Church wall. Note the thatch on the first cottage in the picture, which was replaced by slates some years ago. The cottage nearest the Church remains largely unchanged. A new page has b.
