One thing that made them so special was that they were always moist and fresh. You could put a Twinkie on a shelf and as long as it stayed in its little cellophane wrapper, it stayed fresh. Why did the shame retain its freshness like a Twinkie? Why is it that you can pull shame off a shelf in your mind and it is as fresh as the day you put it there and tried to hide it behind other memories? However, there are times when we have gone through the steps of forgiveness.
