I will be teaching in Belize with a group of 17 students from UNCW. We will be there from March 17th through April 24 working in different local schools with a wide variety of students of all ages. One highlight from the school week was on Tuesday when I had my class do the Oh Deer simulation, but changed it to Oh Jaguar. We are discussing wildlife conservation in my class and this activity went along with that topic perfectly. After the simulation, students were able to identify factors necessary for animals to survive and reproduce.
Thursday, April 22, 2010. Our students are all so. Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Mandy is gone and that has been interesting but I did my best! I did a matching game with prefixes, suffixes, and base words that they really enjoyed. I have also been trying to get their energy out by having them shake all the wiggles out and do jumping jacks. Have so much energy but the exercises. I hope to keep in touch with them after we get home. Monday, April 19, 2010.

From March 17th to April 25th of 2010, I will be in Belize! I am completeing the last third of my student teaching experience at San Pedro High School, where I will be teaching high school English.
