Wednesday, April 21, 2010. ISO is the film speed. Film speed refers to how fast or slow the camera reac. Ts to the light given. In other words, how sensitive the film or pixels in the camera are to light. Back in the day, when we bought film, we would choose the film speed for the whole roll. We would buy ISO 100, 200 or 400 speed film. Now days with digital cameras we can change the ISO with every picture if we desire. Our cameras ISO range is 50-5000.
Tuesday, April 27, 2010. On blow out we added some light in the background and had a high ISO. On panning we used a half second shutter speed and had the person walk and I followed with the camera. It determines how long light is allowed in the camera. The room was dark with some light. We set the camera to half a second and the lowest ISO o the camera. The blow out effect we put it on a very high iso that way we could see his face. another way we could have created it would be using flash.Panning is a horizantal movement or rotation.Panning should have your object poped out and the backround should be blurry.I think i did a good job on it.What made panning difficult was just puting the camara on the right iso. So in order to get the pictures to come out the way they did, we left the shutter open for 15 seconds so that enough light would come in.
