The New Lab part 3. Mar 23rd, 2012 by Mike. The big question, when we started the lab project, was cost. We overcame the software cost by renewing my Microsoft TechNet subscription. We also mitigated some of the hardware cost by recycling my older hardware, even if it required 32-bit operating systems. Regardless of how much recycling we did, we ended up needing two more machines. 8 gigs of ddr3 memory. Hitachi 500 gig 7200rpm Hard drive.
