Saturday, October 8, 2011. Its almost winter time and that mean lots of soup for dinner in the Holbrook House. This is one of my favorite recipes that I make all the time! 6 pieces thick-sliced bacon, chopped. 1 medium Vidalia onion, finely chopped. 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped. Salt and freshly ground black pepper. 1 small jalapeno, chopped seeds and ribs removed. 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped. 2 large potatoes, small diced.

Thursday, May 3, 2012. I just want a break. Coleman is doing really well. He started preschool in the fall and is loving it! Trust me he still doesnt get it. All in all we are doing well, except for my breakdowns every now and then. Hopefully I will get more pictures on the blog soon! LOOK WHO IS 1! He lov.

Monday, September 16, 2013. Cotton Wood Half Marathon! So I decided right then and there that I was tired of being out of shape and wanted a goal and that I was going to run the Cotton Wood half if it killed me. I began training at once. I began on a tread mill and graduated to running in my neighborhood. First time running my hood, I was chased by two large dogs. Yikes! This last weekend it was Race time! I was a blast! I think I just might run one more before the year is over. Maybe! They are so great! .

Afton started Kindergarten this year. She was a little nervous, but now she loves it. I am not sure I love the getting up early every morning part, but I guess it is good for me. This is her getting on the bus to go to school.
