My Jaw Surgery Journey

I had upper and lower jaw surgery on May 25, 2010. Yes, I agreed to have my jaw bones sawed apart, and reset into a properly functioning bite. My top braces went on in July 2008, and the bottom braces went on Jan 2009. It took me a YEAR of reading and researching to come to the realization that I if I ever wanted to bite and chew food like a normal person, then this surgery really was needed as I was told in my first consult wthe orthodontist. Hey, it really is a big deal. So here we go.
