As the pages of life turn. Sunday, May 6, 2007. Next, my writing has changed over the course of the semester. Of the semester my blog entries were not very confident or very well written. This was an example from the first post of the semester. I was really unsure of myself as a writer and the median of blog entries was a foreign concept for me. I feel that my voice is strong and my writing is confident well articulated.

I have thoughts, I have dreams and words in between. I always thought I was a good writer because I was creative with words. Now that I look back on my pieces of writing I realize my words are no more creative than the next average Joe. I just say things as they are and write whatever that pops into my head. I think as long as a little effort is put into the piece of writing it has the potential to be good. As you can tell from the following quote I am still workin.

Saturday, May 5, 2007. My mother always said that I was a good writer, but I felt part of that was just encouragement for me. In taking this class I have been able to realize some of the problems I have with writing, and been able to improve on them slightly. I also feel that my attitude, and approach to writing has changed quite a bit too.

I sped up on the hill to my old high school that i dropped out of. and I turned hard and pulled on the emergency brake and the car skidded. it skidded in to the curb and the car flew above it. my car is fucked again, and it was just the beginning of summer that i crashed my car. I have some new year resolutions now,. i have to self-disclipline my self.

This blog was created during my English 1020 as a freshmen. One of the new styles of writing I encountered through the course was the observational writing. Even as I wrote, my head was telling me to write just on observation, but my heart wanted to reflect and comment. A similar happening occurred with the rhetoric essay.
