Happiness is an inside job. Sunday, April 8, 2018. Saturday evening I sent mail out to 12 of my paddle mates. Shane was the first to reply positively. Then a stream of declines came in but in Sunday morning Cathy and Gary were in making it a foursome. It was high water meaning we could get through passageways and channels.
If you just go for a paddle than you can stop thinking about wanting to go for a paddle. Monday, November 27, 2017. Kayak camp trips this year have been few. So Shane and I decided to get in one last trip, despite the wind that was forecast. We managed to entice Terry to come along. We drove out to Admirals Beach on Saturday morning for the put-in. Shane has been taking every opportunity to seal launch lately. We peeled off the drysuits and proceeded to set up camp.

Sunday, November 20, 2016. Ive been wanting to go to Cape Broyle for a few months now and this weekend we finally made the trip down. Last time I was in Cape Broyle was in March and we paddled through slush in the harbor and paddled by frozen waterfalls along the shoreline. Dean picked me up Saturday morning and we met up with Tony in Bay Bulls and headed down. Its a bit of a drive down to Cape Broyle but well worth it as youll soon see. Didnt take long to get out gear on and the boats on the water.CONTENT

June 25th was a second attempt to go from Middle Cove to Flatrock. back on Nov 29th, 2015, Brian, me, Shane and Dean set our destination for Flatrock in the wintry active waters of Middle Cove. Gerard came by and said no way, as the beach had dumping waves, the water was very active and would be bigger as we went out, and there was weather in the distance. and me and Shane were eager newbies that would probably need rescuing.
