Birding for a Lark

Saturday, 17 March 2018. Keur Macene in early spring. Having gone out birding locally last Saturday, this was followed up with a much longer trip on Sunday. It was originally planned to head to Mzela. We went there pretty much directly. On arrival we found that although some of the wetland next to the village had dried up since the New Year, most of it was intact.

Flights of Wonder A year of birding adventures

A year of birding adventures. I had a little bit of time to walk at Davidsonville Park this morning. It was very, very quiet. The only photo I got was this one of a Goldfinch eating the thistles from the Purple Cone Flowers at the entrance to the park. This flowering Ironweed is so stunning! The last of the Mimosa flowers.
