Letting God out of the Box. Throughout the years, I also began to develop a sense of who I was politically and religiously. I became, true to my success, a conservative Christian Republican who towed the party line. I never voted for anyone except a Republican between 1984 and 2012. I was a dyed-in-the-wool Conservative. My sister died fifteen years ago however, she left an indelible mark on my soul that began changing me in 2008.
