Luckily my laptop is broken so my vegetation time is limited to my work computer, so, come 345, I am able to unbuckle my seatbelt after a long journey and finally enjoy my destination. Since returning to Japan after a three week trip to the US this summer, I have learned the following. Festivals in Japan are only meaningful when you hike up a mountain to partake in them.
