With the Worlds Shortest Parade down Nesbit Street in Punta Gorda, the 2012 IFDS Worlds launched with the cannon fire of the Royal Order of the Ponce de Leon Conquistadors echoing through the air. Conquistadors in period garb served as an international honor guard, bearing the flags of 12 nations whose sailors are competing in the world championship. Sunday, December 4, 2011.
