Thursday, May 1, 2008. Notre Dame Physics Balsa Bridge Building Contest. Participants would have to build a bridge made of balsa wood under certain restrictions. For example, the bridge can have a maximum mass of 100 grams. Prizes are awarded for strongest bridge, and workmanship and design.

It has been held since 1980 and the contestants are Physics students in grade 11 and 12 who are competing to build the most durable bridge.
