As it was quite windy it was an obvious choice to introduce the group to the idea of trim. Trim is were you position the weight in the boat so that it remains easier to control in windy conditions. The simplest way to explain it is while paddling into the wind have your weight forward and your weight back when paddling down wind. We also had a look at the draw stroke and started looking at different ways to turn our boats.
The route was climbed on April 25 and is one of a number of high-altitude Cairngorms new routes climbed this spring. I would like to thank everyone.
