Sunday, July 28, 2013. We are about five months into this year long deployment and things dont seem to be getting any easier. Emotionally things are rough. I am suffering bad from depression. I told Huck that if I dont get some medication that I might end up buying ten bearded dragons! I did buy a new purse.of which Elijah gave me a serious look and scolding when he said.Why do you always need new purses? LOL But I am glad he is ok now. When life gives you scraps - make a quilt! Tuesday, November 1, 2011. My best friend is due with her 2nd baby girl in November. I set aside the quilts I was making for my girls to work on a baby quilt for her. I chose the Sweetheart charm pack from Fat Quarter Shop. Here are some of the squares with the pink mitered corners. Not my favorite to make, but the end result looks so nicely finished! The polka dot sashing between the squares. Next up is a little purse with a zipper for my 8 year old.
