In the early hours of Monday, a landslide, precipitated by heavy rains and the flooding of the river that normally winds it way through the beautiful Salgar countryside, ripped through the city, destroying over 30 homes and leaving over 80 individuals dead. To many, this is just another tragic news update. But it has my heart aching.
