Thursday, 6 January 2011. The End of an Era. Adieu! But the first few days were odd. I had to eat about four bacon sandwiches over the first few days in order to satiate my cravings. I had to remember to put toilet paper into the loo and not in the nearest available wastepaper basket. I spent a lot of time emailing, calling friends and visiting.

February 25, 2010 in Uncategorized. Yesterday I spent the whole day in Chitwan National Park. In the morning I took a canoe ride to go birdwatching. The canoes are dug outs created locally from a single log. A cormorant, I think. A bull elephant on his way to work. Tourists do these kinds of trips in packs so I rode in one of a convoy of jeeps. Sunday, 10 January 2010. I had some time to wait though, no instant gratification for me. A nine and half hour flight to Delhi, a few hours in the transfer and domestic departure lounges at Delhi, a flight to Bhubaneswar, a wait at the station and the overnight train to Koraput were what I had to look forward to. Nearly three days of travelling.
