Friday, August 5, 2011. I am in the Peace Corps office in Tegucigalpa, only hours before my flight back to the United States. For the last few days, the other volunteers and I have been getting our medical check-ups, dental exams, poked and prodded to send us healthy souls back to the US. And after all that examining and waiting and paperwork, I am ready to leave. Like hiking to visit nearby caves, running to Gracias from my site about 16km, and learning to make chica fermented corn drink in my house.
