Sunday, December 2, 2007. For my next independent reading book, I chose to go a little off the beaten path from what everyone else in the class has been doing. Following the recommendation of my older sister, I decided to ready Infidel. This book is an autobiography about a young Islamic woman and her struggles in many different Middle Eastern and African countries. Tuesday, November 27, 2007. Wednesday, November 14, 2007.
Wednesday, October 31, 2007. Justification for the Iraq War. Yesterday in class we talked about what we knew about the Iraq War. And the Senate Report of Pre-war Intelligence on Iraq.
Wednesday, November 14, 2007. Is another graphic novel by Marjane Satrapi. He is unhappy with his life and decides to commit suicide, and the book describes his thoughts during his last days alive. Nasser leaves his family and goes into isolation after his wife broke his tar. I enjoyed Persepolis 1 and 2. Monday, November 12, 2007. With the cliff-hanging ending of Persepolis.

Monday, January 28, 2008. Now that class is done. Its amazing to think that the first semester is already done and now started on the second semester. I have all music classes. Expect to miss the English. Class, but I truly miss the class. Those who still read their blog after this class, this message is to you. What are you guy doing now? Hope to hear from some of you. Wednesday, December 5, 2007. It is a collection of maxims and advice that fortunately, while it has a spiritual feel, does not really identify itself with any particular religion. That may be the defining point of the book, its universality. Work is love made visible. Wednesday, November 28, 2007. In reading the few books I have by Pamuk the name Ataturk comes up often especially in refere.
Monday, December 3, 2007. After reading this section of the book I completely lost interest in the book and really had to push myself to finish it. The book does have a few good points in it with dry humor, but overall I did not enjoy this book at all. Unfortunately I found more web sites on how to cook a turkey than I did on the country of Turkey. This is a web site that talks about the history of Turkey during the Ottoman Empire. aspx?
