Saturday, February 20, 2010. A while back I had an epiphany, bacon pop-tarts. I like bacon and I like pop-tarts, so combining the two would create something awesome. I began by researching how to make pop-tarts. I found some websites that I thought might be helpful. Seemed like it might be too spicy, and I did not want to spend that much time on it. The prospect of making a crust. Bacon frying in the skillet. I chopped the bacon, and then added some blackberry jam. I made one of just bacon.

Wednesday, March 21, 2012. I think I have finally entered the pre-deployment crying phase. I have been so focused on my work, the Guard and my pregnancy that I have not really dealt with the emotions of having my husband deploy. Three hundred and sixty five days. I had a slow start last January due to my surgery but I felt that it was really special to for my first 5k of 2014 to be the run in memory of Tyson Twitchel in March. It was a Halloween race at night in a Peoria cemetery.
