I have a clotting disorder that has already caused me one pulmonary embolism. 1 out of 3 pulmonary embolisms are fatal. so if surgery was to cause me another PE what are the chances of survival? Ticking along if not down. Well life is ticking along but my weight loss ticker is not going the way I want it to. I seem to be on an eternal plateau. I guess the main thing to be happy about is that the plateau is so much lower from where I used to hover 18 months ago! I have just completed my latest personal challenge - cycling 100kms! Jenny and I went on holiday. Here I am ready to hit the town and go and see the Michael Buble.

Thursday, April 28, 2011. First of all my family and I are fine. The tornadoes went just north and south of where I live. However communities around the state are not, they are devastated by the tornadoes that ripped through the state. Tuscaloosa, where I was born, is completely torn apart and my heart goes out to those families. I watch the news and just cry. Please keep everyone in your prayers. Sunday, April 10, 2011. My mum is doing better on the chemotherapy, but as a few of you know I have made the hard decision not to come to Chicago in September as I felt it was the wrong time to be away from all my family and I felt very selfish spending so much money on myself with so much going on at home. This is about my journey into the land of Lap-Band. After struggling with my weight for all of my adult life, I have decided to do finally something about it. My Surgery Date was December 11, 2009. Monday, August 16, 2010. 8 months and 33 pounds later. Not thrilled with the results or the pics. I now see just how much harder. I have to work and how much further I have to go. I am motivated!
