I live in the center of a small urban city in Virginia. I began keeping bees in the Spring of 2009 on my property. Hive updates were posted to my Facebook account throughout that year. Through encouragement of those who commented on the pictures, I decided it was time for something more formal. In 2010 I added another hive to the yard, this is where this story begins.
