A special blog site for Literature Across the Curriculum. Saturday, December 26, 2009. Christmas just keeps on giving! Perhaps your family is something like ours - or perhaps not. Since the children have grown up and added spouses and children of their own, things are just not the same around our house. Here it is the day after Christmas and we are still waiting to have all of our kids show up so we can exchange gifts.

Wednesday, December 9, 2009. The football players came to my room to read to my students. Spirit week was AWESOME! As you can tell our float had a toilet on top of it. Around the the World is a game which two students are given a math problem and whoever answers with the correct answer first wins. I like to play this game with the classroom split into two teams and the winning team is award a prize. Tuesday, October 13, 2009.
Sunday, December 6, 2009. Teaching language to 6 th. Graders can be a bit of a challenge. It is something that most kids do not have a passion for and often find it boring. One of my students asked me the other day why we had to have language. He thought that everyone should be able to write or talk anyway they wanted to. I explained to him that using proper English.
Tuesday, December 8, 2009. Sunday, December 6, 2009. Around here, people shoot guns into the air for Independence Day and New Years. Where does the bullet land though? A bullet that was shot in the air, comes back to the ground. Birthday, which is also the July 4 th. Michael world slowly begins to deteriorate.
Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Well guys, this semester is finally over. I have enjoyed keeping up with everyone through your blogs. I regret not being able to communicate.
