The devastating earthquake that rocked the impoverished island on January 12,2010 has left approximately 1. 5 million people in dire need of food, drinkable water and medical attention. Without proper nourishment and medical care, the rate of disease and death is increasing. The Haiti Relief Effort is still under way and will be for months and years to come.
